I normally don’t post my ramblings/plot bunny, however I had an idea on how Severus Snape could survive and wanted to share it. 

Being a Stargate SG-1 and HP crossover fan, I thought… what if after Harry left the shack, Severus was transported onto an Asgard, Tok’ra, or Goa'uld ship where he was revived vie sarcophagus or Asgard tech.  I don’t have a good reason why they would come to Severus’s aid.  The ship could be a captured ship and manned by earthlings.  Maybe Severus has been a spy for a side beyond the wizarding world.  Hmm…maybe….  It could go lots of places from there and maybe even be worked into Snarry.

 
Well, that’s my idea, and if it tickles anyone’s creative interest, feel free to use the plot bunny for a story.

I have just put up the first chapters of my two long WIP (see links below).  I have been working on them both for the past year and am floundering with them at the moment.  Unfortunately since the withdrawal of Garish Light to focus on RL, I have lost my sounding board for my longer stories.  So, I’m currently looking for someone to critique the plot and character development, to point out holes and suggest ideas, to tell me if I am rambling or rushing the story, and to bounce ideas, reasons, and character motives off of.  The correction of grammar and spelling is also helpful. 

I don’t know how long it will take for either of the stories to be completed or how sporadic my working on them will be.  I thought I would start with seeing if anyone of my friends here thinks they may be up to the challenge for either of these stories before I look farther a field.

Summary: Harry and Severus adjust to their unique situation while avoiding the Minister for Magic’s clutches, searching for information on what Albus did to them, and helping to get Hogwarts restarted.

Summary: Some twenty years after the death of the Dark Lord, the remaining few of his followers exact revenge on Severus Snape for his betrayal.  Cursed, beaten, and left in the woods, Severus waits for his end only to be inducted into a world hidden from even the wizarding world’s eyes by one he thought to never see again.

*Author’s Note: I tend to shy away from writing stories that have Harry or Snape with someone else before, but I could not help it. Harry and Severus are not falling together because of the sire/childe relationship but because they come to appreciate each other. In the mean time, someone approached Severus and I didn’t see him as turning him down.

Author’s Notes: It has been over a year since I posted Another Fine Mess and at the end I did promise a sequel. I have been working on it and a different Snarry story in that time. Neither of them is done. But, I want to start posting both of them before the final book comes out. So here is the first chapter of this story.

Silly me, it just dawned on me how many comments I have from people who have not asked to be on my friends list and thought it might be a good idea to add them. Obviously they enjoyed the story if they left a comment. So, I am starting to go through comments in my posts and adding them to my friends list if I can verify age.

I just read a post from stewardess (here) that was pointed out by cordelia_v on her LJ.  Stewardess proposes a very interesting look at what most probably is the real reason behind the past week’s madness - Six Apart wants to go public.  Having watched the desire for growth and prophet prompt quick, knee jerk, uneducated and ill-advised choices again and again in the company I work for, Stewardess’ post makes a lot of sense.  Nothing motivates a company like a threat to future growth and future investors.                                                                        

I am sure that Six Apart will not forget their goals, and that will not be in fandom’s best interest.  I don’t know if this will take the form of closing ‘offensive’ accounts or just tighter restrictions.  This makes me feel more confident in my decisions earlier in the week.  As I said in Thursday’s post, I keep thinking back to Fanfiction.net’s purging their system of anything over R.  (At least they gave the authors warning.)  I believe any place fandom sets up and flourishes there will eventually be a tightening down by management as the platform we converse and share in moves into the mainstream.  At least we now have warning and can migrate someplace else and not loose the connections we have made.

There is a bright side to this.  I have been mostly a lurker on LJ and posted mostly only my stories.  I never really offer much commentary and interact only briefly with anyone through comments on my stories.  I never really friended many people, but now I have started.  It has been fun to interact with you and read your posts.
